The youth ministry
at the North Pointe Church of Christ is led by parents and other adults who have
a passion for our teens. Parents are divided up into teams to help us develop a
well rounded program for teens. Parent participation is welcomed and encouraged.
Their activities include:
Bible Classes
Teens meet on Sunday morning during our Bible class hour at 9:30 a.m.
Parent/Teen Pointe Group
The parent/teen Pointe Group meets every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:30
p.m. at the home of Keith and Geri Wyatt, 5606 Lena Judd, Sachse. Parents and
teens meet in separate groups.
Sunday Night at the Movie — 2nd & 4th Sunday
nights
Sunday Nights at the Movie is a unique way to use segments of appropriate
rated movies to teach teens valuable lessons. Teens will enjoy the light
heartiness of these evenings plus be able to make a practical life application.
Contact Matt Lee for more information.
Service Projects
Teens at North Pointe put their Christianity in place by serving others
whether it be collecting food for the homeless, being a greeter at one of our
Outreach events, or taking a turn as a helper in our Children’s Worship program.
Fall and Spring Retreats
Each fall and spring we bring in an outside speaker for our retreat times.
Participating in retreats is a wonderful way to grow spiritually, to get to know
others on a deeper level and have fun doing it!
Girls Only and Boys Only
Parents plan time for girls and boys to do things separately in order to
develop relationships and address their particular needs.
Summer Activities
A variety of activities are planned during the summer from weekly outings to
summer
camp opportunities.
Safety
All who work with our teens are required to have background checks. See
Safety Policy under Children’s Ministry.
